		<description><![CDATA[it&#039;s kind of crazy how the biology of our ears influences the pitches we like to hear.  the way the cochlea is coiled, there are clusters of hairs that respond to the exact frequencies of thepitches of the notes in our chromatic scale (ie C is 440hz).
since other mammals have different ear configurations, i bet the scales they would come up with would sound totally different.  i wish i could find the awesome diagram that i was shown in a class, but this weak one is the only one i could find, and really isn&#039;t what i was looking for.
